Coach Nice was born in Norfolk , VA . He currently resides in Chester , VA with his wife Doneshia Sanderlin-Lucas. Coach Nice is the oldest of his two siblings. He graduated from Booker T Washington High School, where he lettered Varsity three years and graduated with honors.

After high school, Coach Nice played football at Chowan University and Uva-Wise. Smithfield high school was his first coaching stop , followed by Life Christian Academy and a brief stint at Hermitage high school, accumulating over seven years of coaching experience.

During his coaching career, Coach Nice has built a reputation of developing defensive backs at a very high level. Coach Nice has helped mold a great number of 3-star and above defensive backs while all gaining scholarship opportunities and majority Division I scholarship offers. Not only is he good with the defensive backfield, he’s earned his stripes nationally as a recruiting coordinator. Over the past couple of years, he’s assisted over 20 student athletes accumulate over 200 Division I scholarships. He’s built relationships with college coaches from every corner of the country: DI, DII, DIII, NAIA, Prep, and Junior college. 

A word from Coach Nice upon joining the program: “I’m fired up to join such an amazing program. I believe we will accomplish great things as a team but most importantly, we will build these young men into young adults. My #1 goal is to ensure by the time of the last test our student athletes take, and the last play of their last game, they are at their max potential and we’ve provided them with all the tools to be successfully entering adulthood.”
